About Me

Dyna: Welcome to my Egyptian cooking blog. My mother was born in Cairo and my father in Minia (South of Cairo). I grew up in a Western suburb of Melbourne. I went to school then on to University where I studied Science. I got married and now am raising my 2 little boys. But to the food, well my mum cooked Egyptian food, we ate Egyptian food – even while living at Uni I still had my mother’s home cooked meals most of the time. I have wanted to keep a record of her recipes for over a decade and finally have done enough shopping, cooking, rewriting, editing, typesetting and photographing. This blog is a record then of the best part of a decades effort and dream to get these recipes recorded.
